Launching apps using VMware - Video Transcription

AppsAnywhere integrates with VMware’s leading VDI technology to deliver both apps and desktops to students. In this short video you’ll see how this integration works, including launching a native VMware app and a virtual desktop, too.

On our demo site, you’ll see that both Internet Explorer 11 and Visio 2016 launch via VMware Horizon. Let’s go ahead and click launch on Visio. The VMware Horizon client opens to prepare the application, and Visio launches soon after. And thanks to Single Sign on, Students get a seamless user experience without needing to re-enter their login credentials.

Let’s have a look at launching desktops through AppsAnywhere. In the menu you can filter by Desktop, where you can see all the available VMware Desktops that can be launched directly from AppsAnywhere.

Thanks to this integration we’re giving universities a way of delivering all their apps to students with just one point of access, regardless of the delivery technology being used. Whether it’s through VMware, Cloudpaging, Parallels Remote Application Server or SCCM, there’s just one launch button for each app.
